Beauty Across Centuries and Civilizations
Marlene Dietrich’s Beauty Secrets
We all remember Marlene Dietrich. Big, smoky eyes, incredible cheekbones and a beautiful unique face. Few of us are familiar though with her beauty secrets.
In 1944, when Marlene played in Kismet, she was 43. At that time the surgical face lift was still in its early stages.
With her unusual creativity, the actress invented her own nonsurgical face lift. She pulled and pinned back thin strands of hair, taped her skin with surgical tape and covered the tape with a wig.
Her imagination did not stop here. A few years later, while in her 50ies, she started to use a very thin gold chain under her chin and behind her ears to lift the chin. Her beauty tricks were successful because Marlene’s images from that period are as youthful as they were in the earlier stages of her career.
Today the noninvasive face lift options are more diverse. Luckily women can choose efficient and longer lasting forms of nonsurgical face lift without taping their skin or using hairpins.
Aesthetic Medicine provides a large variety of noninvasive procedures addressing all areas and problems of the face. The results are lasting shorter than the surgical face lift but definitely longer than Marlene Dietrich’s beauty tricks!
